a. A good teacher instills confidence; there are students who do not believe in themselves, as a teacher your job is to encourage them, let them know that you believe in them.
b. Good teachers set high expectations; they have high standards, they consistently challenge students to their best, they are caring professionals who teach students to believe in themselves.
c. A good teacher must be passionate with children, must be ready to tolerate, they are always excited about influencing children lives positively.
d. A good teacher must possess these characters, patient, caring and kind personality.
e. Must be self-aware; a good teacher must be able to understand his or her self, they need to identify and be aware of their own personal biases.
f.Selfless worker:work without looking back, don’t put the salary first but the vision and mission he or she want to achieve.
The most important aspect of education is the environment, educator and the method of teaching, children loves to learn in a conducive environment and from an effective teacher.
As a teacher how do you create a conducive environment for your students.
1: Be genuine “Preaching to them, the kingdom of God and teaching them about the Lord Jesus Christ with boldness and quite openly and without being molested or hindered.” Act 28:3 Paul was so diligence in his ministry, he was focused, he showed a good example also like Jesus did.he did not fake it, he taught with boldness. Teach in your own style, don’t try to copy someone else, a teacher plays the real character(not faking it)be honest with your students, talk to them about your like and dislike, with that it will be easy for them to Flow with you, and also feel relaxed.
2: Get to know your students feelings: get to know their learning style so that you can cater to each of them as an individual. Ask your students about the games they love, their spiritual life, needs and challenges, in order to help them find success in the classroom.tell them the truth,do not try to cover any thing bad. And of this matter I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (special messenger)I am speaking the truth in Christ, I do not falsify (when I say this) a teacher of the Gentile in the realm of faith and truth.
3: Show your students that you value them: always give them opportunity to express their opinion about a particular topic, with that you will know what they need extra practice on. When giving them a particular activity to work on, explain how they should go about it, let them know how it will benefit them now and in future,teach for life not for the school
4: Tell them stories about yourself; most time your students learn with your interests and who you are, they love to mimic their teachers a lot, they want to be like you, dress like you, talk like you,even walk like you isn’t that amazing make an effort to get to know their stories too.
5: Have fun with your students: make time out for your students, play an educative games with them, you can make their day appetizing by being creative, go on a field trip with your students.
Take a minute every day they arrive in school and tell them some good words that has to do with motivation for that day,just to brighten up their minds and get them ready for learning.
Parents and teachers take a step to help our kids in educating them on sex Education. Due to increase in this act, we implore that our kids should be enlighten from home not just in the school. Kindly education your kids on how to differential private and public parts of their body.
Private part: this is the part of the body that should be visible to you only accept doctor/nurse with your parents consent, that part of the body should not be touch, look or play with by others’ of the parts that makes up this private part of the body are …Boy: Anus, Scrotum, Penis,lap, buttocks and lips. Girls: Virginal, Breast, Laps, lips, buttocks and Anus.
Two types of touches Touch with motive is the bad Touch without motive that is touch by mistake, the good touch. Touch with motive is the touch on any of the private parts, that is called sexual abuse.
Possible abusers: anyone Possible location: anywhere • How to identify abusers, the child feels uncomfortable when the person is around. • They offer to help and care for your child. So be careful who you leave your child with to take care of while you’re not around.
The things abusers tell their victims: I will kill you. Your parents will die Your parents will not believe you Your parents will blame you Your parents will punish you for it.
Causes of child abuse • Careless attitude towards your kids welfare • Parental negligence Note:let your kids know that if someone is abusing he/she and you don’t tell, that the person will continue. The effects, it will affect their studies. You will be unhappy and could contract disease.
How to avoid sexual abuse Don’t undress by anyone order. Don’t allow anyone to play with private part Don’t leave the house without parents Consent Kindly…avoid bathing them together in the same bathroom with (opposite sex) Do not allow them to watch adult movies Don’t allow them to work nake in front of others.
