What steps do you take when you encounter challenges as a teacher

Most teacher do not understand this profession at a certain point. this ministry require Patience, every job has their own up and downs but teaching has more challenges, why, your class comprises of different people with differs situation, which calls on the attention of the teacher. If the teacher is incapable to take care of the situations, it becomes a problem. Some teachers do neglect kids that has issues, just for a smooth teaching without stress. That is a No no! What make you an effective teacher is the number of students that you are able to change their story positively.

I remember this colleague of mine, she doesn’t like any child with physical challenge, she had two of them in her class that year, she could do anything to avoid them, if they mistakenly offended her, she would dealt with them, they were in that class for complete a year, no positive effect, their parents were worried, they asked series of questions looking for an answer, my colleague couldn’t give them any good answer, because she was self centered not considering the kids emotions.a teacher is a motivator not self-centered person.
The second year I was asked to take up the same class, that child was asked to stay back in the same class, I was so shocked for what the girl in particular was going through, she was abuse emotionally, this girl was almost destroy, she believed she could not do anything on her own, she thought nothing good can come out of her. When I discovered that,I shade tears, why, (this is a teacher that is meant to instill confidence not scattered).

No child is born empty, scientist approved that, every child came to this world with half-full knowledge, so a teacher is to impact, build and nurture that half-full knowledge to become great. Jesus Christ says something, that he did not come for the saints but for the sinners, as a teacher your purpose for being in that particular class might be for that child that is struggling that is the way you should see it. If peradventure nothing is being change by you, that means you have failed to do your job as a teacher.

 Steps to take
a) Believe that all things are possible. If others can change lives you also can do more better.

b) Motivation; motivates yourself, this works wonders,it is only you that can tell yourself the truth.

c) Prayers; prayers can move mountains, God never fails, if you call on him with a sincere heart, no situation he can not change.

d) Be patient: this is one of the most important aspect endure so many things will frustrate you, starting from your students, your boss, their parents, sometimes even your colleagues. The school will be counting on you, their parents will be expecting you to perform magic, which is not possible, there is no Short cut to success,any house that is not properly built will surely collapse some day. back then I used to tell my students parents(it is not how far but how well)my child is in primary, nursery so so.. what is your child performance, is the child balance academically? As an effective teacher you don’t have to be disturb do your best and expect the best .

e) Be confident: a teacher should be able to measure her worth. I once got a job in a particular school, my students parents were on my neck, all I was hearing was our children former teacher was doing a very fantastic job, we do not want someone that will come and drag our children back. If I was not confidence of myself,I could have quit the job, the threat was too much, the first two weeks, I spent there was something else, I was sure of what I can do, I was praying and also working, then told my boss to tell them to give time, if before the end of the session no different, then they can talk,by then I will freely quite but to the glory of God during the school open -day they were all testifying. you too can do it, stop looking at the challenges, begin to see the beautiful thing you will achieve at the end.
