How To manage a successful school part 2


Mostly for the private schools.


1: create a standard curriculum for your school. Your school should have a scheme for each class.teachers should not come with their own scheme instead, the teacher should use your school scheme and add their ideas to compliment it.if it’s a law in your State to follow the government scheme then you can blend it with your school scheme for effective results for your students.


• Disadvantage of allowing your teachers to introduce different scheme.
Teachers are like any other employees in an organization it can call for quitting the job at anytime, it’s normal for such issue to occur in a schools. the teacher might leave the school immediately, this is where the problem comes in, there will be need for a new teacher.in a case where the teacher was using his/her scheme that particular class the teacher was teaching will be affected if the teacher leaves with the scheme,when the school employ a new staff with a new scheme.


The new teacher introduces another scheme, at this point the kids will find it difficult to adapt to the new scheme and method of teaching. A new face,a new scheme and new method of teaching.

Disadvantage
1: Introduction to a different scheme
2: Different method of teaching might apply
3: unstable system of teaching and learning

Advantage of creating your own scheme
1: Stable method of teaching
2: Setting standard in the school
3: Effective method of teaching and learning.


• Avoid regular replacement of teachers
Many schools are into this system, every session they must replace a teacher, and they do not care to about the effect this can cause their organization and the students.


Disadvantage
1: students find difficulties in learning and adapting to the new method of teaching.
2: lack of communication, some students find it difficult to get acquainted to their teachers at the beginning but when they do, it becomes a great union.they took time to study their teachers to know what they like and their dislikes. The same way the teacher have to study them also. This period of getting to know each other, some kids do not value what the teacher is giving until they get to know you. That is the right time they Will see value in what the teacher is offering.


• Effective communication between parents and teachers: parents are the cheapest means of advertisement, take it or leave it.if your school is of a standard and the students are social, academic and emotional equip.your school will keep increasing without your knowledge or advertising.
Also for the teachers, when there is effective communication between you and parent, they will work with you and you will achieve success in your classroom, especially when you have a struggling child, strong-willed etc. you will need a lot of support from home.


4: AVOID SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH SOME Group of parents: parents are just like a food chain, they have their own chain that lead from one parent to another, if you disclose a secret of any kind about your school to any of them.be ready for it to go around.the same way they advertise your school.

• Possible ingredients to improve your classroom

As a teacher in every end of the school year, your achievement and that of your students should be measure in other to identify the area you were lacking or where your students were lacking too. So that they can be room for improvement for the new year.create good relationship with your students parents.

1: Effective lessons plan; adjusting the lesson plan according to your learner reaction to meet everyone needs.when you are able to plan an effective lesson, it will help you reduce extra work on some areas.


2: Add fun into your teaching method; gone a days teaching used to be only teacher’s center .it is now both teacher and students,there is no way you can be teaching and your kids are not excited about your lesson,they will not gain anything at the end of the lesson.so a teacher have to incorporate fun in it, make class interactive, give them a chance to contribute, create group games, take them out on a field trip.

3: Create a well conducive environment for your students.this is one of my favorite thing I do for my students, I make sure that I’m the first person in my class, I set my prayers, arrange my table , chair and work for the day. Before my students begins to come in. I stood at the door to received them.and as they’re coming in I make sure we exchange pleasantries at the door. That has becomes one of my habit, and I love listening to their little stories, from that door our conversation begins.with that I’m able to teach with ease for that day.

How To teach Your child to be smart


Children are gift from God,He gives them to us to keep the light in our home sparkling,they are like the flowers in the garden without the flowers in the garden the garden will turn a desert and the gardener will not have much work to do.


So you see parents are just like that gardener that is taking care of the flowers (kids) it is a lot of work to do.but even in the midst of this job, you’re still happy to do them because they brought illumination into your home,they make it sparkling and fun.even when you’re angry and tired their little voices can still put a smile on your lips.


So many people now a days believe that training kids is a very difficult task to do.yeah… sometimes its seems that way but the other time it’s becomes easy.but the point is the way you train your child that the steps the child will grow up with.he / she will walk on that path.


1 : Teach your kids how to keep their personal belongings safe
At the early age teach your kids how to gather the toys after playing, get a basket and create a space in the corner of the house for the basket, when your child is done playing with the toys mum go pick the toy and tell your child to do the same thing,in that way you’re teaching that child how to keep things in appropriate place.


2; Teach your kids social skills
Like how to play with other kids without fighting, how to be satisfied with their own things, listen without interrupting,use the magic words, especially I’m sorry and help their friends without requesting something in return.


3: Introduce your kids to school early
They don’t need to go to school before they can identify some letters, numbers and learn other good manners, you can home school them .get the building blocks, pictures and object teach them at your spare time.this will help your kids to have idea of school even at home.


4: Minimize the time they spend in front of the television
According to the research too much time on the screen has effect on the kids.the period of time they spend before the screen should be limited to 2/3 hours a day.encourage your kids to be creative, the world is fast growing with the use of technology. Encourage them to learn computer programming and many more.


5: Teach your kids morals
especially relating with friends, siblings without fight.
The world could be a peaceful place if parents can instill morals value into their kids.if you were not thought, you can make a decision to train your kids differently.read books, watch videos on morals and strive to build a peaceful home.

Tips on how teachers can cope during challenging period.


Perseverance


For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name in that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister. And we desire that everyone of you do shew the same diligence to full assurance of hope unto the end. Hebrew 6;10,11


An effective teacher should be steadfast and diligence to the full, practice more of encouragement, use powerful words in and out of the classroom, motivates your students, acknowledge every little step they make towards success and celebrate them. Make every little effort a big deal and tell them your proud of them,kids feels better when they observe that their teachers are proud of them. They become proud of themselves, that show that there is an effective teacher on board. When an effective teacher instill confidence to the students despite the condition, that child can never feel less or worthless.

In this ministry for a minister to be rewarded, the minister must be steadfast, ready to tolerate, humbly and show love and care. without such characteristics, you are not complete, before taking up this ministry, they should be serious thought about who you are, asks yourself some questions.. like
I’m Patient, can I tolerate children, can I accept others? Answer the question, then you can now proceed.


My lesson on perseverance
When I remember my first year of teaching, I always remember one boy and a girl with severe behaviour challenges on a daily basis this boy will cried, no other teacher will be able to receive this boy from the gate,he hit everyone and roll on the floor as he is crying, he was the most challenging student I ‘ve ever had, but he was also the students, I learned the most from, as a first year teacher, I struggled to know how to support this boy while meeting the needs of the rest of my students’ try everything I could think of to help him succeed in my class, I tried sending him out of the classroom, not the solution, even when my attention is needed in the office, he will clab my dress or he ran out of the classroom with cried, other teachers will tried stopping him, I tried sending him to another teacher, having her act as a special helper, none of these approaches work, then I decided to invite God and I also work on our relationship, I decided to bring him more closer to me and show him unconditional love, I needed him to know that I would spend special time with him no matter what, I couldn’t leave him when he misbehaved and I wouldn’t give up on him, through prayers and building a relationship built on love and trust, I was able to slowly guide him towards positive behaviour, I had finally arrived at a workable strategy.

Successful teachers try and try again, we encourage students to persevere through challenges, knowing that struggle creates opportunities for growth, the Same applicable to teachers, every challenge you over come automatically becomes a stepping stone for you.

Steps On How Your Child Can Write

The first thing you should introduce your child into is educative toys like the building of blocks, numbers and letters this is for identification purpose if the child can recognize that means writing will be much more easier.

How to handle writing material starting to handle crayon and pencil; this can be tough for kids,most parents look at it as a very difficult task to handle.
To help your child to learn how to write,you have to consider buying a big size pencil or broken crayon, their sizes make them easier for children to handle and balance their hands correctly.as the child develops a better control over the crayon or pencil
The muscle in their hands is getting better.get colouring book at any book shop.

Introduce the child to right hand curve; this is when your child is able to handle pencil, crayon.guide your child on how to hold and balance the fingers correctly.
Let’s start to trace from the point curve…. repeat this up to 5×)
Your child should also practice scribbling with this also.
With time you get to introduce the Left hand curve,slant (/) and dash (_) etc.

Introduction to number 1
Now your child is able to handle pencil bravo! Work in progress, now you need to get a board or exercise book, make dots to form a straight line on the board or exercise book.
Guide your child on how to hold and balance the fingers correctly.let’s start stroke down… .. continue until you get a better result.at first the number may not be beautiful or very straight,some times might be meaningless to you but your child has already gotten the picture of the number in mind.
